SAN DIEGO: August 4, 2022 – Hartley LLP, along with co-counsel Stueve Siegel Hanson, filed a federal class action lawsuit against Aya Healthcare on behalf of travel nurses who were subjected to “take-it-or-leave-it” pay reductions in the middle of their contracts. The lawsuit alleges that hundreds if not thousands of nurses employed by Aya across the country have reported experiencing mid-contract pay reductions after starting an assignment with Aya. In fact, Aya’s “bait-and-switch” practices are so widespread that it appears to be a core tenet of the company’s business model. The lawsuit also asserts that Aya failed to properly pay travel employees for overtime hours worked by miscalculating their regular rate of pay.

If you were a travel nurse affected by a similar unilateral change in your pay rate or duration in the middle of a contract, from Aya or any other travel nursing placement provider, please contact attorneys at Hartley LLP at [email protected].
