Preliminary approval of Tyson Beef settlement for $83.5 million

May 14, 2026. Direct Purchaser Plaintiffs’ (DPP)  second settlement in their Beef MDL obtained preliminary approval from the court in the District of Minnesota. The $83.5 million settlement brings a total and settlement preliminarily approved for the DPP class to $135 million. Hartley LLP is co-lead counsel for the DPP class. The case continues against the remaining defendant, national Beef, and Cargill.
