July 16, 2026. Direct Purchaser Plaintiffs in the sprawling Cattle and Beef Antitrust Litigation were granted certification of their class action by the District of Minnesota today. Hartley LLP serves as one of the Court-appointed lead counsel for direct buyers of beef in the United States, one of five groups of plaintiffs pursuing antittrust claims against Cargill, National Beef, Tyson and JBS. “This ruling impacts thousands of direct buyers and implicates billions of dollars of commerce,” said Jason Hartley. “We look forward to moving past summary judgment and trying the case on behalf of our entire class against the remaining defendants.”
