July 10, 2026. Hartley LLP obtained certification of a class of female students at Los Osos High School who were victimized by a voyeur employed by the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. District employee David Riden admitted to placing “countless“ cameras around the girls locker room, bathroom and other private areas at Los Osos High School from 2016 until he was caught in 2021. He was able to do so, despite having his recording devices found multiple times by other District employees. “This was a righteous case to be certified,” said Hartley LLP founder, Jason Hartley. “But the common issues coupled with a compelling economic theory of damages applicable to every student supported this correct ruling.”
