Hartley LLP associate, Fatima Brizuela, was recognized for her work on behalf of refugees at Casa Cornelia’s 12th Annual La Mancha Awards at the University of San Diego. Fatima, along with several other deserving attorneys who assisted some of the most desperate and hopeful people yearning for a new start in the United States, accepted the coveted Pro Bono Publico Award. During the past year, one of Fatima’s many successful representations was of a man who fled Cameroon after being persecuted for his political affiliation. She helped him obtain his green card, and he is now the founder and CEO of the “Giving Hope to All Foundation.” Congrats Fatima and well-deserved.
