SAN DIEGO (January 28, 2025): Hartley LLP is pleased to announce Maureen Forsyth has been elevated
to Partner, recognizing her exceptional contributions to the firm, her leadership, and her exceptional
legal work on complex, high stakes matters.
Forsyth joined Hartley LLP nearly four years ago and is especially adept at managing large, nationwide
class actions involving tens of millions of documents. Her practice spans antitrust, class actions,
consumer protection, shareholder and securities litigation, government contracts, and debt recovery.
She has played a key role in legal strategy and case development for both individual and business
clients, including coordinating a large antitrust class action between six plaintiff groups and preparing
for apex depositions of Fortune 500 defendant executives. More recently, she has been involved in
securities fraud litigation against a pharmaceutical company, alleging an unlawful kickback scheme
which artificially increased the stock value.

Prior to joining Hartley LLP, Maureen practiced in one of the largest plaintiff firms in the country. She
earned her law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1999 and previously earned a Bachelor of
Arts degree. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, graduating cum laude with a dual degree in
Legal Studies and English. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts (inactive) and the District of
Columbia and is a member of the American Bar Association and the DC Bar.
