Hartley LLP attorneys litigated this case as co-lead counsel on behalf of a class of California managers of retirement communities who alleged that they were not properly paid for overnight shift work. These class members worked in difficult conditions, caring for the sick and elderly, and often had to respond to calls all throughout the night when staying at the facilities, but were not paid for that time. Hartley LLP ultimately obtained a $5.5 million dollar settlement for the class.
